Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Real Madrid training a month after limping out of Euro 2016 final

Just over one month since the final of Euro 2016, in which the Portuguese captain sustained a knee injury, the Real Madrid superstar is back

Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Real Madrid training just a month after suffering sprained collateral ligament damage in his left knee.
The Portuguese sustained the injury in the first half of the Euro 2016 final against France on July 10.
It was thought that the 31-year-old would need eight weeks to recover but now it appears he is ahead of schedule.
Portuguese teammate Pepe was there to greet Ronaldo at Ciudad Real Madrid on the outskirts of the Spanish capital.

Zinedine Zidane's side did not need Ronaldo to dispatch Sevilla 3-2 after extra-time in the UEFA Super Cup on Tuesday with Dani Carvajal scoring a superb winner.
Los Merengues face Real Sociedad in their La Liga opener on August 21, which could be circled as the game that Ronaldo returns in some capacity.
